A DIGITAL MEDIA VENTURE TAKEN BY JUSTIN WILSON

Originally when thinking of a design for this site I was struggling to think of any ideas or color schemes that I could use to make an attractive yet effective portfolio. I therefore went to look for inspiration and having an interest in films I found myself procrastinating by looking up the latest films soon to be in the cinemas.

It was whilst doing this that I stumbled across the idea for this design.

The inspiration for the design of this portfolio site mainly stems from the cinematic poster for Christopher Nolan's latest film interstellar, which can be seen opposite. As someone who also shares an interest in astronomy after seeing this poster I was instantly fueled with ideas on orientating my site around a similar style, design or theme.

I then took points from the posters design to enhance my own such as using large amounts of spacing between title letters to give the illusion of 'space'.

This portfolio site has been created to allow all of the work and projects I work on during my first semester of my Digital Media degree to be showcased and displayed. The site has been broken down into specific sections to suit its purpose.

The log page shows different tasks or pieces of progress I made during either development or planning stages.

The mobile and web site sections specifically present the projects I have worked on. Covering the creation of project scopes or designs all the way through to the finished product.

The hot glue section is used to discuss the tool from which this site has been constructed but also to discuss my own development and experience with using the hot glue program.

Finally the contact and home pages have information regarding myself such as contact details but also other information such as the design inspiration of this site.
